Junior Orangerie Greenhouse by Janssens FAQ — Everything You Need to Know
What's different about a T-shaped orangerie layout?
Rather than one straight rectangular room, the Junior Orangerie adds a small entry foyer set perpendicular to the main growing section — giving you a mudroom-style buffer for boots and tools before you step into the growing space, plus a steep 38° roof pitch that sheds snow well.
Is this the same as your Junior Victorian Greenhouse?
No — they're different Janssens models. The Junior Orangerie uses the T-shaped foyer layout described above, while the Junior Victorian is the classic straight-roof Victorian silhouette. If you're not sure which shape fits your yard, call or text us at 732-806-7959 and we'll help you compare.
Do I need a concrete foundation?
Not necessarily — the Junior Orangerie ships with its own 4-inch aluminum foundation base, which can anchor directly into bare level ground, onto a wood platform, or onto an existing concrete slab.
How is the glass held in place?
4mm tempered glass panes run the full height of each wall section, sealed into the aluminum frame with heavy-duty rubber gaskets — no putty or screws through the glass itself.
What's the warranty?
A 15-year limited warranty on the glass structure, backed by Janssens — a Belgian manufacturer that's been building glasshouses for over 75 years. Call or text us at 732-806-7959 if you ever need to file a claim.
