Grandio Summit 12x16 Greenhouse Kit

Collection: Greenhouses

Extend your growing season with a greenhouse built to handle real weather, from starter kits to premium four-season structures.

Greenhouses Buying Guide

From cedar and glass garden greenhouses to durable polycarbonate hobby kits, World of Greenhouses carries greenhouse styles for every budget and backyard — including Janssens (Exaco), Palram/Canopia, Little Cottage Co., OLT, Grandio, Alton, and KGT/Hoklartherm. A greenhouse extends your growing season on both ends, protects plants from wind, pests, and unexpected frost, and gives you a controlled environment to start seeds early or grow crops that wouldn't survive outdoors in your climate.

Choosing a Material: Wood, Glass, or Polycarbonate

Wood (Western Red Cedar): Naturally rot- and insect-resistant, with better insulation than a bare aluminum frame (roughly R-1.35) and a classic look that ages well with minimal upkeep. See our wooden greenhouses from Alton UK, Little Cottage Co., and OLT.

Glass: The traditional greenhouse look — real glass panes in a classic Victorian or contemporary roofline, with clarity that never yellows or scratches. See our glass greenhouses from Janssens and Alton. Glass has a lower insulation value than polycarbonate (about R-.95 for 3mm glass) but an unmatched, premium look.

Polycarbonate: Virtually unbreakable, lightweight twin-wall or triple-wall panels that block up to 99.9% of harmful UV rays while diffusing light evenly across your plants. See our polycarbonate greenhouses — panel thickness ranges from 4mm on entry kits up to 10mm and 16mm triple-wall on premium and commercial models; thicker panels generally mean better insulation and snow-load strength.

Sizing, Sun, and Climate

Before choosing a size, think through how much of the year you want to grow (a hobby greenhouse for spring starts vs. a four-season structure you'll heat through winter), how much direct sun the spot gets, and your local wind and snow loads. Every greenhouse we carry lists its wind and snow rating in the Specs section on the product page, so you can match the structure to your climate instead of guessing.
