Royal Antique Orangerie by Janssens — A Designer Statement Piece

The Royal Antique Orangerie leans fully into the classic Victorian look, with narrower glass panes than most Janssens models and a crisp white frame. It's designed to stand on a 2' knee wall, giving it a taller entry foyer and a distinctly antique, designer presence — the kind of greenhouse that becomes the centerpiece of a garden.

At 185 sq. ft. (12'10" x 15'7", 9' peak, 6'7" total sidewall height), it gives you plenty of room for growing, seating or entertaining — see the Size/Specs tab for full details. Includes a set of double-hinged doors, 4 roof vents and 2 louvre windows, all with automatic openers, plus gutters with downspouts and a foundation frame.

  • Heavy-duty aluminum frame — larger, thicker and stronger profiles than most greenhouses in its price range.
  • 4mm tempered safety glass (where many brands use 3mm), TUV and GS tested for resilience to wind and hail.
  • Heavy-duty rubber seals hold every pane in place all the way around, for a tight, better-insulated structure.
  • Stainless steel hardware that won't rust or corrode.
  • 17-gauge tubular aluminum frame, resilient enough to withstand strong wind gusts and hail.

How is this different from the Royal Victorian Orangerie?

Same T-shaped Orangerie family, but the Antique uses narrower, more decorative glazing, a white frame and a knee-wall mount for a taller entry foyer — more of a designer statement piece.

Do I need a knee wall?

Yes — it's designed to sit on a 2' (24 3/32") knee wall. We'll help you plan the wall and foundation for your site.

Can I use it as a garden room?

Many owners furnish it for seating and entertaining. Like all glass greenhouses it isn't insulated like a room addition — for a fully insulated garden room, see the LIVINGTEN.

Do I need a permit?

Often, since this is a permanent structure on a foundation — check with your local building department before you order.
