Stockholm Patio Cover by Canopia FAQ — Everything You Need to Know
How Much Shade Will I Actually Get?
Stockholm's solid clear roof is the most transparent option Canopia makes — genuinely like looking through glass rather than a diffused panel, so you get full daylight and visibility to the sky, just with UV/heat filtering. If you want a shadier feel rather than maximum brightness, Olympia's bronze multi-wall panel or the Stockholm with Shades variant (below) are better fits.
FAQ
What makes the solid roof different from a twin-wall panel?
Most Canopia patio covers use a multi-wall (twin-wall or 16mm) polycarbonate panel, which diffuses light somewhat. Stockholm's 4mm panel is solid and crystal-clear — genuinely like a glass roof, full visibility to the sky, just with UV and heat filtering built in.
Why is the wind rating lower than Feria or Olympia?
It's a real tradeoff for the solid clear-roof design and the highest snow rating in the lineup (37 lbs/sq ft) — Stockholm is rated to 50 mph vs. 75 mph on the multi-wall lines. If you're in a high-wind region, Feria or Olympia may be the better fit; if heavy snow load and a clear view of the sky matter more, Stockholm's the stronger choice.
What does this actually attach to on my house?
Stockholm requires a minimum 7'7" wall height and carries real snow load (37 lbs/sq ft) onto your wall — the most demanding mounting requirement in Canopia's lineup. Confirm your exact wall height and construction type with us before ordering to make sure the install goes smoothly.
