Skylight Storage Shed by Canopia FAQ — Everything You Need to Know
What Actually Fits Inside
6x3:
A push mower, a few rakes/shovels, and a couple of storage bins — a tool locker, not a walk-in shed.
6x8 / 6x10:
A push mower or small riding mower, a wheelbarrow, bikes for 2-3 kids, and shelving for pots/tools/bags of soil.
6x12:
The above plus a snowblower or extra bikes — enough depth for a small workbench along one wall.
8x8 / 8x12:
A riding mower, full lawn equipment set, bikes for a family of 4-5, and a real workbench with shelving.
8x16:
A riding mower plus a full workshop bench, seasonal furniture storage, and floor-to-ceiling shelving on both long walls.
FAQ
What sizes does the Skylight come in?
Seven sizes from a compact 6x3 tool locker up to a full 8x16 workshop-scale shed, in 5 colors (Tan, Gray, Dark Gray Deco, Midnight Grey, Amber).
What can I actually fit in one of these?
It depends on the size — a 6x3 holds a push mower and hand tools, a 6x10 comfortably fits a mower, wheelbarrow, and kids' bikes with shelving, and an 8x16 fits a riding mower plus a full workbench and floor-to-ceiling storage. Call us if you want help sizing to your specific equipment list.
What do the wind and snow ratings actually mean?
The Skylight is engineered to stay structurally sound in sustained winds up to 56 mph and under snow accumulation up to 15.4 lbs per square foot when properly anchored — roughly the load of a few inches of wet snow. Always anchor it per the included instructions, and clear heavy snow buildup promptly in areas that see significant accumulation.
Does it come with a floor?
The 6' sizes (6x3, 6x8, 6x10, 6x12) include a floor kit. The 8' sizes (8x8, 8x12, 8x16) do not — they're designed to anchor onto an existing concrete pad, patio, or wood deck, so budget for that separately if you don't already have a surface.
What's covered under the warranty, and how do I file a claim?
A 10-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in the frame and panels. Keep your proof of purchase — if you ever need to file a claim, call or text us at 732-806-7959 and we'll walk you through the process directly rather than routing you through a manufacturer call center.
