Arizona Single Carport by Canopia FAQ — Everything You Need to Know

Will My Vehicle Actually Fit?

Most trucks and SUVs:

At roughly 8.7 ft of clearance and a 10x16 footprint, this comfortably covers a full-size truck or SUV with room to walk around it. Because the cantilever design leaves both ends and one full side open (only one side has posts), it's easier to park in at an angle than a fully-enclosed structure — but do measure your vehicle's height against the 8.7 ft clearance figure before ordering, especially for a lifted truck or roof-rack setup.

FAQ

What's the difference between the Wave and Breeze roof panels?

Wave is a corrugated polycarbonate panel — same UV protection, slightly more affordable. Breeze is a solid (flat) polycarbonate panel with a cleaner look. Structurally they carry the same wind/snow rating; it's a style and price choice, not a durability one.

What do the wind and snow ratings actually mean?

The Arizona Single is engineered to stay structurally sound in sustained winds up to 75 mph. A snow load figure of 15.4 lb/ft² is published by some retailers for this model, though we could not independently verify it against Canopia's own spec sheet — always anchor per the included instructions and clear heavy snow buildup promptly in snow-heavy regions.

What can I anchor this to, and what surface prep do I need?

All Canopia carports bolt down through footings or a poured concrete pad — concrete is the manufacturer-recommended surface. A compacted paver base or an existing patio slab can work if it's level and thick enough to hold anchor bolts securely, but loose gravel, grass, or dirt alone is not a substitute; frost-heave in cold climates can also shift an under-prepped foundation over time. If you're not sure your existing surface will hold anchors properly, call or text us and we can help you think through pad size and prep before you order.

Do I need a permit to install this?

Most municipalities require a permit for a permanent carport structure, and requirements vary widely by town — setback from property lines, wind/snow load documentation, and sometimes a foundation inspection. Check with your local building department before you install; we're happy to provide the manufacturer's engineering/spec sheet if your permit office asks for one.

What's covered under the warranty, and how do I file a claim?

A 10-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in the frame and panels. Keep your proof of purchase — if you ever need to file a claim, call or text us at 732-806-7959 and we'll walk you through the process directly rather than routing you through a manufacturer call center.
